In November 2012, Southland’s Southwest Division decided to expand its service capabilities within the local to the Las Vegas region and entered into the refrigeration and food service market. Our refrigeration and food service focus allows us to assist with an array of equipment such as ice machines, walk-in coolers and freezers, parallel refrigeration racks, fryers, and ovens, and has helped Southland Industries successfully serve more of the Southern Nevada region. With the addition of refrigeration and food service, we have now expanded to perform this type of work for convenience stores, restaurants, hospitals, and casinos.
Since entering the refrigeration and food service field, the average number of service calls our division receives each month has increased significantly, and we only expect that number to rise during the peak season. Additionally, in November 2013, the Southwest Division brought on a new stainless steel sector which bridges to the refrigeration and food service fields. Since then, we have completed a decent amount of stainless work and it continues to grow each week. In order to properly serve our customers, the Southwest Division doubled its service force with six new technicians and one service manager–each with over 20 years of experience.
By developing great relationships with some of the biggest refrigeration and food service equipment providers in Southern Nevada, such as Trimark and Duray, we are able to properly provide for our customers. Due to the additions of both stainless steel and refrigeration and food service, Southland’s Southwest Division is now able to build, supply, and service a restaurant or convenient store from the ground up.
